It is just one of the things that Cornwall is famous for. No trip to the county is complete without spending an afternoon enjoying a cream tea in Cornwall. There are so many places to get your hands on the baked good, it’s hard to know where to start. Luckily for you we have found some of the best places to find a cream tea. (all with jam first we hope).

Dutchy of Cornwall Nursery

Located on the Dutchy Estate, overlooking Restormal Castle in Lostwithel, this welcoming little café provides a relaxing atmosphere nestled within beautiful grounds. Their cream tea brings together some of the best local suppliers, including Boddington’s jam and cream from the neighbouring Trewithen Dairy. Are you a tea or coffee lover? You’re in luck, this Aaternoon tea come with unlimited tea or coffee!

Cosy Nook Tea Room and Garden

The Cosy Nook’s garden makes for the perfect spot to enjoy your cream tea in Cornwall. Located in Crantock, just a short drive from the bustling town of Newquay, this café, is the perfect spot to enjoy a treat after a stroll along Crantock beach.

The Camel Trail Tea Garden

Sat halfway long the camel trail between Wadebridge and Bodmin, The Camel Trail Tea Garden and gift shop is the perfect place for an afternoon cream tea while enjoying a stroll through the Cornish countryside.

Charlotte’s Tea House

This award-winning grade ll listed house in Truro offers home-made scones, jam and Cornish clotted cream, served with a tea of your choice. Just a short drive from our Truro holiday park and described as the ‘best cream tea in town’ this one is a top contender.

Chrissy’s Tea Room

The retro tea room in Perranporth is known for its freshly baked heart-shaped scones with strawberries on top. Adding a little twist to the traditional Cornish cream tea. Chrissy’s tea room is also home to home-made cakes, toasties and freshly-brewed tea.

Woods Café

Placed in the middle of Cardinham woods, Bodmin. This family run café is an excellent place to stop after enjoying a walk through the woods. Their cream tea is served with Boddington’s jam, thick clotted cream and a pot of Tregothnan tea. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, you can enjoy your cream tea in amongst the trees on a sunny day.

Idle Rocks

The perfect place to sit and enjoy an afternoon tea while appreciating the view across the water. Idle Rocks can be found on the harbour side in St Mawes. The Cornish afternoon tea includes all of the classic sandwiches as well as a selection of sweet options. Idle Rocks even offer a cocktail afternoon tea as an adventurous alternative to the classic afternoon tea.
